What We Do

The D.C. Female Condom Project is a public-private partnership that works to provide increased access to, availability of, and information about female condoms (FCs).
Our community partners include the DC Department of Health, Community Education Group, Calvary Health Care, Our Place D.C., Planned Parenthood Metropolitan Washington, and The Women’s Collective.
We provide trainings to both consumers and health care providers on the benefits of FCs and how to use FCs correctly and consistently. Our program focuses on women and men in neighborhoods and communities with high HIV and STI rates.
The D.C. Female Condom Project raises awareness about FCs in our community through a multifaceted media campaign. This effort includes bus ads, posters, radio commercials, palm cards, and social media outreach.
