What We Do

FC fans in Houston

The Houston female condom campaign is a collaborative of community organizations, with Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and AIDS Foundation Houston as the co-chairs. Its promotes the awareness and use of female condoms as form of both birth control and STI prevention. As with other cities with high HIV/STI rates, we recognized the need to spearhead a movement for female condoms in the Houston area.

We focus on training providers to effectively promote female condoms among the communities they serve.  When providers incorporate female condom promotion into their  outreach, condom distribution, and risk reduction education efforts, they can increase the number of people in our community why try and then regularly use female condoms

Houston Project Partners promote female condoms through one-on-one education, group education, health fairs and many other ways.
