What We Do

Female condom advocates were out in force at the 2012 San Francisco Pride celebration. The San Francisco FC2 Campaign promotes the use of FCs to people of all genders and sexual orientations.
The San Francisco Department of Health launched the citywide FC2 Campaign on Valentine’s Day 2011. In addition to educating San Franciscans about how female condoms (FCs) can reduce HIV and STIs, the campaign highlights the many pleasurable aspects FCs offer. We train staff of clinics, youth service organizations, community-based organizations, women-specific agencies, gay men’s health providers, sex clubs, coffee shops, barber shops, and many others on how to effectively promote FCs to the people they serve.
Responding to the needs of communities most at risk in they city, the San Francisco FC2 Campaign focuses its FC promotional efforts on gay men and other men who have sex with men, transgendered individuals, and youth. Our public education camapaign can be seen on MUNI buses and trains, social networking sites, and community venues.
